ROLE OVERVIEW:
Following the launch of WSL Football in August 2024, the organisation now serves as the independent body responsible for the growth and success of the Barclays Women’s Super League (BWSL), Barclays Women’s Championship (BWSL2), and the Subway Women’s League Cup. With each club acting as shareholders, WSL Football is setting the vision for a more distinctive, competitive, and entertaining women’s football ecosystem.
The Partnerships Manager will report into the Commercial & Partnerships Lead and be responsible for the day-to-day relationship management, activation delivery, and optimisation of commercial partnerships across the leagues.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the management and delivery of key commercial partner accounts.
Act as a central liaison between WSL Football, clubs, agencies, and internal teams (e.g. Broadcast, Marcomms, Performance Development).
Oversee the delivery of partnership rights, troubleshooting where necessary.
Support the implementation of partner technology solutions across the league and clubs.
Create best-practice forums and share learnings across stakeholders.
Deliver high-impact partner activation programmes aligned with WSL Football’s strategic goals.
Coordinate with clubs on their delivery of club-led partner rights.
Manage the creation, approval, and implementation of ground dressing assets.
Lead the procurement and oversight of the Ground Dressing Supplier(s).
Support partnership renewals and provide insights and reporting to demonstrate ROI.
Manage assigned partnership budgets, working closely with other departments.
Uphold high service standards across the commercial delivery programme.
Comply with all company policies, particularly regarding safeguarding, health, and safety.

Essential Skills & Experience
Exceptional stakeholder and relationship management skills.
Strong understanding of brand and sponsorship objectives, including ROI/ROO measurement.
Experience developing and activating sponsorship strategies and campaigns.
Experience with commercial contracts and cross-functional teams.
Digitally literate and confident navigating technology-driven partnerships.
Proven ability to think creatively and commercially.
Previous experience leading direct reports and supporting their growth.
Understanding of sports marketing, communications, and brand environments.
Strategic mindset and results-focused approach.
Familiarity with sponsorship measurement and insights tools.
Desirable Attributes
Relevant degree or qualification.
Knowledge of women’s football or wider sport and sponsorship markets.
Understanding of digital marketing and content landscapes.
Experience working with broadcasters and the media.
Exposure to hardware/performance technology partnerships.
Strong presentation and reporting skills.
Comfortable using MacBooks, iPads, and working in tech-forward environments.
