ABOUT THE CLUB:
Manchester City Women, founded in 1988 and relaunched in partnership with Manchester City FC in 2014, is a leading club in women’s football. Competing in the FA Women’s Super League, the club has enjoyed success in domestic and European competitions. The team plays at the Joie Stadium, part of the wider Etihad Campus, home to the City Football Academy, where the men’s, women’s, and academy teams train.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive New Partnerships: Meet and exceed annual revenue targets through acquisition of strategic, long-term global brand partnerships.
Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust pipeline of high-quality prospects to support consistent deal delivery throughout and ahead of each season.
Contract Negotiation: Lead and support partner negotiations at C-level, managing the full process including due diligence, legal, and commercial reviews.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders across Finance, Legal, Operations, and commercial functions within City Football Group (CFG).
Reporting & CRM: Leverage CRM (Salesforce) and data insights from the Business Intelligence team to drive informed decision-making and accurate forecasting.
Presentation & Proposal Development: Create compelling sales decks and partner-facing materials, working with the Design team to ensure all content reflects CFG’s brand standards.
WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR:
Essential
Degree-level education (UK 2:1 or equivalent)
Proven track record in sales and partnership acquisition within premium rights-holding organisations
Deep knowledge of the global sports landscape, particularly women’s football
Fluent in English (written and verbal)
Advanced negotiation, prospecting, and contract management skills
Strong presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to senior executives
Commercially astute, proactive, and persistent in navigating long sales cycles
Experience using CRM tools, especially Salesforce
Flexible and adaptable to a high-performance, fast-paced environment
Desirable
Experience working directly for a sports rights holder
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
Familiarity with sports sponsorship contracts and activation programmes
