Job Title: Head of Digital Products & Content

Location: London or Dublin (minimum 3 days in office per week, weekend work required during match periods)

ROLE OVERVIEW:
Six Nations Rugby Ltd (6N) is the official organising body of the annual Men’s, Women’s, U20s, and U23s Six Nations Championships, the Summer and Autumn Nations Series, and co-owner of the new Nations Championship launching in 2026.
Working in partnership with its six member unions (RFU, FFR, IRFU, FIR, SRU, WRU), 6N manages centralised media and commercial rights and promotes some of the world’s most iconic rugby competitions.
The Head of Digital Products & Content will establish and execute the long-term digital and content strategy, delivering revenue growth, innovative fan engagement, and scalable products across multiple platforms. The role requires a proven leader with deep digital expertise, commercial creativity, and the ability to inspire teams and stakeholders alike.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and deliver the long-term digital products and content strategy across Six Nations properties.
Monetise content through packaging, digital advertising technologies, and evergreen content creation.
Grow and engage fan communities through omnichannel personalisation and journey optimisation strategies.
Lead digital vendor relationships, currently including Stadion, WSC, SPALK, Brightcove, PT Sportsuite, Contentful, Feeling Sports, and Monterosa.
Oversee cross-platform content calendars in partnership with Content Managers, Partnerships, and Marketing teams.
Collaborate on a gamification roadmap with the Product Manager and Director of Growth, with a view to future direct-to-consumer monetisation.
Manage agency and freelance teams to ensure high-quality, engaging content output.
Work closely with Unions to deliver clip services and complementary digital content during tournaments.
Oversee digital product and content budgets, ensuring ROI for member unions.
Manage reporting and KPI tracking in collaboration with the Insights team.
Provide leadership, direction, and support to team members, fostering a high-performance environment.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 8 years’ experience in a B2C digital-first organisation, ideally within sport, media, or entertainment.
Track record of growing revenue and engagement through digital channels, content productisation, and digital advertising.
Deep expertise in digital tools and technologies: Customer Data Platforms, Product Analytics, Journey Orchestration, MMPs, Automated Personalisation, Machine Learning.
Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to use data to inform strategy and decision-making.
Proven leadership experience, providing vision and adapting management style to different team levels.
Reputation for building relationships across cross-functional teams and agencies.
Exceptional stakeholder management, with confidence engaging senior internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple fast-paced workstreams independently and collaboratively.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Fluency in French or Italian beneficial, but not essential.
